"I wanna give (him) the world, hold (his) hand. I wanna be (his) momma just as long as I can. And live every moment until that day comes. I want to show (him) what it means to be loved."--What it means to be loved-song by Mark Schultz

December 23rd- Perfect Peace

Support and prayers are flooding our lives.  It is humbling to think of the thousands of prayers being lifted up on our behalf.  Peace that transcends all understanding is taking on a whole new meaning.  I feel God’s promise of being covered from Psalm 91—we are experiencing a shield from lies and fear.  God is near and we feel his holy and perfect peace.

We decide to share the name of our son with others—Benaiah Darwin.  Benaiah meaning “God made this” and Darwin after Brad’s father.  It was the perfect fit and my heart soared as we were able to share the name of our son—just saying his name brought comfort.  Our hearts are grieving and the shock still resonates, but we realize that we have a choice to celebrate Benaiah while he is here with us.
If you are interested in reading more about this medical condition I would encourage you to visit these wonderful websites: please use caution where you go—there are many websites and videos that are too much.
